Promoting the Wellbeing of Children (CAF) Steering group
Chaired by the Assistant Director of Strategic Services, this group is focused on the implementation of the Common Assessment Framework (CAF) across Coventry. Its aim is to promote multi-agency working and information sharing, in relation to identifying earlier and more effective multi, agency support to families, thereby reducing the need for child protection intervention. It is responsible for training professionals to use the PCYW model across agencies.
The CAF team continue to progress the development of CAF across the city.
There is evidence of increased usage and information sharing across agencies and services. As a tool, CAF is clearly instrumental in developing integrated working and in influencing practice in relation to safeguarding children and young people.
