Child Safety Group
This group has been set up in partnership with Coventry's Children and Young People's Strategic Partnership. The focus of this group has been to reduce the number of injuries or death suffered by children as a result of an accident.
Members of the group have produced a home safety checklist for practitioners to use when visiting family homes as an aid to identifying and discussing hazards with parents. Training on the purpose and use of this checklist along with feedback on Serious Case Reviews, where an accident is the cause of the child's death, have been delivered to practitioners in Coventry.
